Phillip Jordan is recognized across the globe for his work in road safety engineering, particularly for his pioneering work in road safety audit, investigating hazardous locations, and for his technical training workshops. Phillip had a long career with the state road authority for Victoria (Australia), during which he was a member of the first High Crash Frequency (blackspot) Investigation team, and later he managed the AUSTROADS Road Safety Audit project which led to the publication of the first two editions of the Road Safety Audit Guide. He is now a consultant, working for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Investment Bank and national road authorities in more than 45 countries (mostly across Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East).
